Carrie Purcell began food styling after receiving a BA in english, working in the magazine industry, attending culinary school and working in professional kitchens for several years. With 10 years of styling experience she works with a variety of editorial and commercial clients in both still photography and film. Some recent clients include Food & Wine magazine, Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, Oprah, In Style, Food Network magazine, People magazine, Better Homes & Gardens, Chronicle Books, Running Press, Weight Watchers, Cooking Light, Country Living, Williams-Sonoma, Bacardi, Nestle Tollhouse, Colgate Palmolive, Betty Crocker and NutriSystem. Carrie lives in Brooklyn with her husband after moving from the west coast 3 years ago and also develops recipes for clients such as Truvia, Country Living, Vegetarian Times and Ghiradelli. She loves coffee, dogs, the beach, collecting props and entertaining for friends and family.
