Her grandmother’s fried chicken and creamed corn were the beginning. Cynthia spent many a Chattanooga afternoon in her family’s kitchens. And besides a love for southern recipes, she developed a French sensibility early on – Madeline books in hand. By her 20s, post-college law school plans were dismissed for a Parisian dream. From a rented Rive Gauche apartment, she dove into French language, art and culture, and studied to be a chef, earning a Diplôme de Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu. Manhattan was her next stop, where she worked in fine dining kitchens, and became captivated with the amazing food photography in print and in production in the city around her. Inspired, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina and began Canapé, a boutique catering company, and began assisting food stylists, including New York-based Jamie Kimm. Continually honing her craft, she then began to make her mark with her own food styling.  Perhaps it’s that Scorpio determination!

The southern-born, Paris-trained food stylist is eager for more. Cynthia is travel-ready and enjoys collaboration with all clients and colleagues interested in the beauty of food – commercial clients, restaurateurs, chefs, art directors, editors, photographers, videographers, others.
