Mariana Velasquez
Food Styling, Recipe Development
Mariana Velasquez left Colombia ten years ago to pursue her dream of cooking, tasting, and writing about food. This dream has taken her from the kitchen of the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur CA to the kitchen of Prune in NYC, from wine tasting at Laurence Fallers cellar in Alsace to savoring spoonfuls of homemade dulce de leche in Buenos Aires, and from the test kitchens of Saveur and Eating Well to her rise in the food styling world.
Today Mariana resides in NYC and is developing recipes for her new cookbook, that will be released in 2011. When not at home, she travels the world in search of the most authentic recipes, the latest culinary trends and the most beautiful aesthetics, which she later brings to her table and that of her clients:
Everyday with Rachel Ray, Bon Appetit, Health, Instyle, InStyle Weddings, John Wiley and Sons, New York Times Magazine, New York Times Wine Club, Parade, Prevention, Random House, Real Simple, Walmart, Rodale, Shape, Macys, Ediciones Gamma (Latin America), Gastronomica de Mexico (Latin America), RMN Comunicaciones (Latin America)
Mariana is a Pisces.
