Big Leo artists Hector Sanchez and Cynthia Groseclose teamed up for this sumptuous project on citrus (with fab design by Nicole Murtaugh!), coming to a mailbox near you. There is nothing like that first moment of peeling an orange or cutting open a grapefruit – the smell of citrus instantly brightens any day. We really wanted to do scratch and sniff for this mailer, but it just isn’t the same as the real thing. Almost better to open the envelope, find this promo, and let your imagination taste the delightful imagery. But one word of advice – try not to look at it before lunch.

Farmer’s Markets

Out this month in Women’s Health – a new story on farmer’s markets styled by Molly Fitzsimons. Along with photographer Romulo Yanes and food stylist Jamie Kimm, the team tried to evoke a feeling of summer by the sea. Waking up with the sound of the ocean, coffee and fruit for breakfast, a quick trip into the farmer’s market for some seasonal veggies and maybe a fresh catch. Skip the store – that sounds amazing. Isn’t funny how you can cut out the middleman and bring back the taste?

Cynthia Groseclose styled this wonderful cover for Organic Gardening along with the accompanying story on chèvre, the miracle cheese. All shot by southern gentleman Peter Frank Edwards. It is a little funny that they didn’t call it ‘goat cheese’ considering the cover’s subtitle is ‘an all american cheese.’ I guess the French spelling makes it a little more alluring. Not really necessary since the pictures are just so mouthwatering. Something about the color and texture of chèvre, c’est vraiment très délicieux. Wait, what?

Cynthia Groseclose goes Back in the Day!

“Back in the Day” is a phrase that conjures up nostalgic sentiment for the past. A longing and affection, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. Simple times when things seemed more pure. Baking from scratch is one of those pure nostalgic things that Cheryl and Griffith Day of Back in the Day Bakery in Savannah, GA strive to deliver to their many fans via their new cookbook “The Back in the Day Bakery Cookbook”, which was released March 6, 2012.

With the indispensable talents of Big Leo food stylist Cynthia Groseclose, the images, shot by southern charmer Squire Fox, evoke that delicious sense of warmth one experiences in grandma’s kitchen. This whole idea of of nostalgia is only furthered by the wonderfully whimsical Cheryl and Griff themselves, who seem like two people we should have known all our lives – both now AND Back in the Day!

Lazy Weekend

An awesome Saturday night, an easygoing Sunday morning. Lazing around with coffee and the paper, some blankets, a light brunch, a close companion, there is nothing better. Molly Fitzsimons brought this scene to life with the laid-back Tara Donne shooting, and equally chill Chris Lanier on food.

Molly talked about her favorite kind of day: “Tara made a few sketches and showed me some inspiration tears and i was immediately into it – going for that feeling of a secluded cabin in the city. Making these pictures is the closest I’ve come to having a lazy day like that in a long time, and it was almost as fun and just as relaxing simply because of the mood we were trying to achieve.” See more images on Tara’s blog: Count Every Beautiful Thing.

Oh crap. Valentine’s Day again. There is no holiday more divisive. On one hand, the legions of starry-eyed couples who asked for one chocolate milkshake ‘with two straws.’ On the other, the tortured souls who are just in it for the candy. For us it could go either way. Then there is the third group – the stylists – who unleash a year’s worth of cuteness on us all. Here, Molly Fitzsimons lets her cute flag fly for Target. Enough to melt even the darkest chocolate heart.

Molly Fitzsimons styled this cute campaign for the Martha Stewart line at Michael’s, photographed by Helen Norman. Molly isn’t just talented – she is a stencil grandmaster. You should see her kitchen, her front door, her bathroom sink, her dog, her young son…. ok, we were just kidding about the bathroom sink.

I’ve fallen out of love with my home. It doesn’t look anywhere near as beautiful as this gorgeous brownstone of yours, styled by the graceful Molly Fitzsimons for HGTV Magazine. What can I possibly do to rekindle the romance? Should I call Deborah Jaffe to photograph? Do you think you could lend me a couple million bucks to first buy a whole brownstone, then completely renovate it? Then is Molly available to spruce it up a bit?
