Hadley Sui

After growing up on a hobby farm in rural Illinois, Hadley Sui's penchant for picnicking and love for the presentation of food inspired her to travel all over the world. Drawing especially upon her experience living and eating in Tokyo, Paris, and Kyoto, Hadley imbues all of her food styling projects with a sense of playful whimsy.  She is known for her strong conceptual work, love for energetic use of color, and gravitation towards all things sweet.

Hadley is a NYC-based Food Stylist, Recipe Developer, and Pastry Chef.  You can most recently see her competing on Roku channel’s “Clash of the Cookbooks,” streaming now.  She is a graduate of the French Pastry School in Chicago and The University of Chicago (AB '15), and has 8+ years of experience working with leading food brands and editorial teams.  Hadley has most recently collaborated with clients such as Lindt, Belgian Boys, and Coleman, and styled the award-winning pastry cookbook “Bodega Bakes” by chef Paola Velez.  Hadley also prop styles for clients such as Weight Watchers, HelloFresh, and Marley Spoon.  Before her career in food styling, she worked as a recipe developer at City Cakes, a bakery famous for its half pound cookies.  Hadley's pastry background is evident in her attention to precision and detail in every project that she undertakes.

When Hadley isn't styling or baking, you can find her planning her next strawberry-picking trip, brushing up on her Japanese, catching up on her latest book club read, or watching horror movies.  Her favorite styling tool in her kit is her culinary torch.  Bon appetit, and itadakimasu!
